Technical Arts was established in 1970 by Dr. John H Robson III a PhD organic chemist recently departed from the aerospace industry turned machinist with a new Craftsman lathe. Technical Arts now has over 50 employees, 4 5 axis CNC Mills, 9 3 axis CNC Mills, 7 CNC lathes, plus full 5 axis CMM inspection, manual machining, assembly, in-house deburring departments and in-house laser engraving.
Technical Arts produces high quality machined parts from aluminum, titanium, stainless steel and other ferrous alloys, plastics, castings and forgings or extruded materials to your specifications.Prototype and production quantities are routinely processed.The recent addition of multiple 5 axis Milling Centers and more CNC Vertical Machining Centers and CNC Lathes has greatly increased available production capacity. We also have a full 5 axis Coordinate-measuring machine (CMM) and computerized system for generation and storage of CNC programs.This system significantly reduces the time required to produce programs, (especially for complex contours) and allows rapid modification of existing programs.
Examples of parts produced in our long history include: plastic and aluminum instrument panels, tooling for grinding optical glass, precision hardware for optical and electronic systems, aluminum and stainless steel castings, plastic fittings, aircraft and missile parts, and copper and aluminum heat exchangers for many industries including the medical, dental, opto-mechanical, wire bonding, fluid dispensing, aerospace, crude oil, and automotive industries.

John H Robson IV, CEO After receiving a BA in Business Administration from Cal State Fullerton in 1971 and then serving his country in the US Army for 9 years, John came to work at Technical Arts immediately doubling the work force. He then proceeded to grow the company into what is today.
Matt Robson, COO After receiving a BS in Business Administration at the University of California Riverside in 1998 he came to work full time as the 3rd generation of Robsons at Technical Arts. Having grown up in the business Matt is intimate with all the aspects of operating a state of the art manufacturing facility.
Kristi A Robson, Owner Kristi has a BA in English from Cal State Fullerton and taught elementary school for 5 years, before she became John's partner at Technical Arts in the fall of 1986.
